That's the thumb hole on the back-- it has holes like a recorder otherwise.

Price is US$ so too expensive for birthday.

M can play the daxophone!

(Look for it on oddmusic.com-- I would but am currently running Visual Studio and SQL Server on my old desktop so everything is painfully slow!)
